I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!
Ten days from today, I will be at ISTE 2022 Live! If you can hear my excitement (and maybe hear me singing), you are not mistaken. This week, I have been adding the finishing touches to my ISTE presentations and I have been loving the process. Unlike my usual presentations, at this conference, I am mostly doing playgrounds. I am also doing a poster session and one virtual session. Whether you are attending ISTE Live or virtually, I hope you find a session that will meet your needs in one of my sessions.
Early Learning Playground- Monday, June 27th : 11:30 AM -1:30 PM CST
This topic is one of my favorites. It is something that I hold near and dear to my heart, This session is meant for early learning educators. Come visit my playground station and learn ways to promote agency with your young scholars. Get a chance to play with activities and applications that empower my 3 Cs of Creation- Choice, Collaboration, and Clickable. Leave with resources that you can use immediately to get those littles creating with digital tools.
EdTech Coaches Playground- Monday, June 27th 3-5 PM CST
The afternoon of June 26th, I am sharing two new sessions at the EdTech Coaches playground. The first one is Get Ready to Tech Up The Math. In this interaction session, I will share my framework for "teching up the math" with my school community. Get a chance to try out some of these "teched up" math activities and leave with resources that will help you get started, My second session is on the Main Stage and shows edtech coaches tips to help their littles' educators and helps them select tech tools best suited for littles to use to create instead of consume using technology.
Poster Session- Amplifying Thinking Routines Using Technology Tools- June 28th 11 AM-12:30 PM CST
Have you heard of Project Zero's Thinking Routines? If not, you need to visit my poster session. During this poster session, I will share what thinking routines are, how to find them and why to use them. Then, you get to see them in action with real life examples. This session is high impact and you will leave with resources that you will add to your teacher toolbox.
Inclusive Learning Playground- Tuesday, June 28th at 2-4 PM CST
During this playground, I am sharing a revamped "oldie, but goodie" session. One of my first sessions, Empowering Student Voice Using Technology Tools, has been updated and renovated for 2022. Highlights include how we can use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to empower student voice and how specific tech tools offer us opportunities to apply UDL principles. Come visit this playground and learn ways that you can empower your student voice and create a more inclusive learning community.
Virtual Session: Planning with INTENT 8:30 -9:15 AM on Zoom
After the past two years in education, educators have done it all- teach virtually, concurrently and more. This session is for educators who want to work smarter, not harder. It shares my educational technology integration framework called Planning with INTENT. See examples of this framework in use and then work with me to try it out on your own. If you want to integrate technology into your classroom and need an easy way to do so- you need to check this interactive session out.
Let's Connect!
If you are attending ISTE22 this month, come visit me at one of my sessions or feel free to stop me in the hall, on a bench, or at a session. I would love to chat and give you some Tannenbaum Tech stickers (and collect some from you if you are a sticker addict like me!)
