Three Tech Tips
About a month ago, I shared that to help me better focus on my why, I was going to post at least two tech tip blogs here every month. These tech tips will be quick shares that I believe will help you as an educator to better utilize existing tools that you already use. I love new uses for old tools, don't you? As we finish up our school year, here are a few tips to help you end the year right.
Tech Tip #1: Don't forget to archive your old classroom if you use Google Classroom
If your district uses Google Classroom, don't forget to archive your old classsroom(s).
Why is that so important?
If you don'ts archive a class, students and teachers in the class continue to see it on their Classes page.
Why shouldn't you just delete it?
If you delete a class, it is gone permanently. You should only do this if you will never use that class again.
Archived classrooms are still accessible and can be restored if needed.

Tech Tip #2: Did you see that Pear Deck got a new feature last week- Reflect and Review?
Last week, Pear Deck got a brand new feature. It is called Reflect and Review and it allows both teachers and students more access to their work after a live session.
In the past, the only way that students could access their prior work was to access a takeaway, but now that is no longer the case. Using Reflect and Review makes it super easy for students and teachers to view feedback after any session. I really love how Pear Deck listens to educators and gives them what they need.
Tech Tip #3: Did you know that you can now create checklists in Google Docs?
One of my favorite uses of Google Sheets has been the checklist feature. So imagine my delight when I found out that Google Docs now gives you the ability to create checklists.
Why would you want to create a checklist in Google Docs?
This gives our students the opportunity to check off tasks
You could use it for your own to do lists
Check off steps on a project.
